Man-eater – I Know She Lies
The artist name is Man-eater; on Wikipedia it just explains what animals eat man and why. I think this band would be all hardcore metal with screams. I think I have made that look by using the font Roaringfire which is a corny, but terrifying font. The picture shows a girl but she in some weird pose which kind of makes her look like a zombie or a succubus which is appropriate for the album title which is I know she lies
Jamarcus – From Men Who Don’t Have Any
The artist name is Jamarcus; the Wikipedia site that I jumped on to was 2 football players that had the name Jamarcus and asked me witch one I wanted to view. The type of music that I think this album would have on it would have to be some kind of dubsteb or techno type of music due to the randomness of the picture and the futuristic font Destine.

Well first thing I did was search social issues on Google and see what would pop up. Then when I saw a list I choose censorship because I had an idea in mind but later that idea would alter. Next thing I would do is research and look for statistics, but then I realized that I would need interesting facts about banned stuff, and unfair censorship. To make sure I knew what I was doing, I created a written statement of intent. which gave me better ideas then my first initial idea. Then I created several thumbnails and from those I’ve created 3 roughs. Presented them and got more ideas from there criticisms. Choose the one that I liked the most and now is writing the written for this.
I used Photoshop because it seems to be easier to alter photos.
For the imagery I used a book cover for the deathly hollows from the Harry Potter series and altered it by using the stamp tool to subtract the things already written in the book.
I used the imagery in combination of the written to create a persuasive message because it seems that the reason the Harry Potter book are being stupidly banned.

Pride And Prejudice
What I learned about this play is that it was a novel mini series, and movie. It is a romance between a rich man and a poor women. Its was based on the 19th century England.
The image that I used on this postcard is this picture of a woman in 19th centenary clothing in a forest with flowers; the reason that I picked this picture is because this play was about kind of forbidden romance and this scene look like they are going to meet up before sundown or something like that.
The typefaces I used Vivaldi, Arial, Script MT Bold. I used Vivaldi as my title because a cursive look makes it look more sophisticated and older. I used Script MT Bold as the description of the film; I was going to use Vivaldi as well but Vivaldi is hard to read in small lettering. Lastly I used Arial to balance out the other fonts; I generally used it for the most important information because Arial seem to be one of the easiest fonts to read.
I think the main focal point is the girl face because the red flowers close to her face is the only color different from the greenish yellowish scheme and it kind of just leads you to her face. My layout is the scene with the person then all the information.
I think I did well on this project. I do also think I have achieved a readable eye catching design that is informative and expresses the theme as well as the mood.
M*A*S*H
What I learned about M*A*S*H is that it was a comedy show and movie based on the Korean War about a unit of medical personnel.
The images that I used in this postcard are the camouflage background and soldiers marching. I used the camouflage to show it about the army and I used the soldiers to show it takes place in a war setting.
The typefaces that I used were Arial and Ellis both in white. I used Ellis because it matched the font used in the actual show and movie and I used Arial because it was a simple font that could balance Ellis. I made them both white to make it show better on my postcard.
I think the main focal point of my postcard is the title M*A*S*H because it is written big in a different font and the white makes it pop from the camouflage. I placed the title on the top because there was a lot of space on the top due to fact that I put soldiers on the bottom of the page. My layout is the camouflage as the background then the soldiers in front with the information and title and lastly in front of the soldiers is the description of the play.
I think I did well on this postcard and captured some parts of the theme. It is informative and eye catching, but I don’t think I capture all of themes of the play like how it is a comedy and it is about medics.

Spatula For Days
So I started with sketching my object (spatula) on paper then I started to copy those sketches on the computer. Then I found a picture of my spatula on Google Images and I started to trace that with the pen tool. Once that was finished I started to work on the different styles of drawings (gesture, painterly, graphical, and radical) starting with rough sketches of each then I put them all on one page and labeled them. After I fused the stuff that I liked from all those and made my nirvana and copied it to a separate page. Now I am currently working on my written for this object study.
What worked well for me was the pen tool for using straight lines and the paint tool to do free hand stuff, but if you use both you have to change the brush strokes for them. I Kind of learned that when I was making my nirvana. Like I wanted the straight lines for the fat square part and the rest free hand.
I think the best spatula that I had made would have to be my radical drawing or my gesture drawing. Like my nirvana is sapost be my best, but I like abstract stuff so I guess in my mind those two have to be my favorite. The lines are clean and drawn free hand with the paint tool.
